The Story
Brilliant but aimless, Autumn never knew what she wanted to do, outside of being independent and keeping up with the Jones’s of TikTok. So when her moms cut her off financially the minute she dropped out of college, Autumn did what many attractive, social-media-addicted twenty-somethings do… made a faceless OnlyFans account selling the fantasy of sex to anonymous watchers willing to cough up lots of cash. She’s playing a tough game of her own making: keep up this secret double life while on vacation with her entire family.
Smack in the middle of a “work” session, Autumn is yanked back to the reality of family chaos when she's called to dinner, the empowered seductress instantly reduced to her kid-self. What’s supposed to be a pleasant dinner offers nothing but mounting tension - she and her mom, Leah, slice each other up with underhanded insults. A revealing talk about her cousin Carson’s online dating, and porn in general. An intense smoke session with her cousins where Autumn’s confronted with a question from the ever-perceptive Tish: Does making porn really equate to owning your power, or is it simply another way to bow down to the patriarchy?
Throughout, Autumn is hounded by a customer offering mad cash if she ignores her boundaries and does a LIVE video. Fully exposed, she discovers her customer is none other than Uncle Stephen, equally horrified to find his niece on the other end of the call. The “harmless” fantasy world of pay-to-play online porn comes crashing down when the entire family hears the commotion and comes running.
A WWF level fight erupts over the instrument of evil, the phone. When Leah destroys her lifeline to the rest of the world, Autumn jams back into the house to grab her keys and escape. Uncle Stephen finally emerges from the refuge of the bedroom. He and Autumn face off, the power dynamic totally flipped with at least two family secrets now revealed.

Visual Tone & Style
Objectifying, close shots giving us the illusion of sexual intimacy versus connected, inclusive, warm shots of emotional intimacy - the audience will both feel like the voyeur and the subject as they’re forced to examine their own relationship to family, sexuality, and intimacy.
Why Now
69% of American men watch porn. And 70% of OnlyFans creators are under the age of 30. And a recent survey found that about 56% of young men had reported an increase in “deviant” sexual fantasies, thanks to their porn addiction.
What’s worse, some of those “successful” OnlyFans creators head over to TikTok, flaunt their massive wealth, and convince young women that porn is not only an empowering way to make a living, but a “get rich quick” scheme. After all, you just need your body and the ability to fake an orgasm, right?
These types of statistics are precisely what got the juices of Only Fun flowing. A TikTok-loving GenZ-er who has absolutely considered joining OnlyFans to supposedly start pulling in $100k/month, met up with a perceptive GenX-er who’s observed the way the internet has rapidly eroded true intimacy. Together, we created a proof-of-concept short dedicated to the feminist conversation so few people are having: even with “independent” platforms like OnlyFans, do women truly hold the power? Or are they still giving it up to simply please a man?
Beyond the dangers of push-button porn lies the true crux of our story: There is a crisis of disconnection happening in our world. The technology meant to free us, to connect us, is also separating us into our own digital silos. When the phone in your pocket is used for everything under the sun - your alarm clock, calendar, music, entertainment, dating, business - it can either be a tool used for hyper-productivity, or an addictive escape from reality.
Gen X is the last generation to have come of age in an analogue era, and parenting children who’ve never known a world without an iPad or phone is a constant challenge. Couple that with hitting mid-life in a long-term relationship and the availability of pseudo-social online sex, and you get a powder keg of dysfunction that must be dismantled more carefully than a hardwired bomb.
Throughout our story, viewers are left to answer the question: are you using your phone, or is it using you? Only Fun is meant to spark a dialogue about the rampant onslaught of technology, the rapidly changing idea of privacy and power, and the painful lack of true human connection.
