The Method & Screen Performance Workshop

Over the past few years, Inde and Hae have developed a unique method—shaped by their collaborative work, the questions they continue to explore, and the artists who have influenced their journey. The Dancing Cypress retreat offers a rare opportunity to experience this method in practice—not within the walls of a classroom, but in a setting that encourages reflection, curiosity, and creative freedom.

During the retreat, Inde and Hae will lead a screen performance workshop that dives deep into the technical language of cinematic storytelling. Participants will explore how focal length, eye-line, eyelight, and camera movement influence emotion, perspective, and character. Blending theory with practical on-camera exercises, the workshop is designed to help actors build confidence in their screen presence while remaining rooted in honest, embodied performance.

We hope you’ll join us.

We chose Dancing Cypress because it is a beautiful artist-led project that aligns with Inde and Hae’s values: peer to peer education, community over competition, and long term creative relationships. It’s a space where creative minds come together to explore, grow, and share their work—where the journey of making art is just as meaningful as the outcome.

For actors seeking the time and space to step away, go deeper, and reconnect with their creative practice, this retreat offers a rare and meaningful opportunity.
