The 2025 Indiewood Screenwriting Fund Has Officially Kicked Off

On Saturday, June 21, we proudly welcomed our 2025 Indiewood Screenwriting Fund (ISF) fellows during a virtual introductory session that marked the official start of this year’s program. With connection, intention, and community at its core, this session launched a months-long journey focused on craft, career development, and meaningful collaboration.

The ISF is designed to support emerging screenwriters through a mix of educational workshops and industry-focused seminars. But what truly sets the program apart is its cohort-based approach—a model built around community and shared growth.

Each year, ISF selects a small group of writers to form a cohort—in this case, 13 fellows—who learn, grow, and build with one another throughout the program. The cohort structure encourages peer support, script feedback, and long-term connections. Writers don’t just participate in workshops—they become part of a trusted creative circle that can support their work far beyond the program's end.
