LOGLINE

Haunted by her past, ex-cop-turned-fugitive Rae Crenshaw is caught between redemption and survival when her ruthless former partner, Bailey “Bay Bay” Vincent, pulls her into one last heist. As Detective Patrick Strange closes in with vengeance on his mind and ICE Agent Grace Tracy sees a sliver of hope for Rae’s salvation, the city becomes a deadly battleground where trust is a luxury and second chances come at a price.

SYNOPSIS

Two years after a deadly bank robbery, Rae Crenshaw, a former cop turned fugitive, is trying to rebuild her life and escape the violent past that still haunts her. When her ruthless ex-partner, Bailey “Bay Bay” Vincent, resurfaces with plans for one final heist, Rae is drawn back into a dangerous world she swore she’d left behind.

Meanwhile, Detective Patrick Strange, tormented by the murder of his daughter during one of Bay Bay’s robberies, is determined to bring both women to justice—no matter the cost. But not everyone sees Rae as beyond saving. ICE Agent Grace Tracy believes there’s still good left in her, and her compassion collides with Strange’s vengeance as the chase escalates across the city.

As loyalties fracture and the body count rises, Rae faces a brutal choice: betray the only person she’s ever trusted or sacrifice herself to stop the cycle of bloodshed once and for all. In the end, Running with Wolves: The Chase becomes a raw, emotional journey of redemption, loyalty, and the high cost of survival in a world where second chances rarely come without consequences.

STATEMENT FROM THE DIRECTOR

Running with Wolves: The Chase explores redemption, loyalty, and survival in a world defined by betrayal and blurred morality. Set against the gritty reality of urban America, the film follows two former police officers—Rae Crenshaw and Bailey “Bay Bay” Vincent—whose choices force them to confront the consequences of their past while seeking a way forward in a system that has failed them.

At its heart, the story examines how trauma, poverty, and broken justice systems shape human behavior. It challenges stereotypes of women in crime dramas by presenting complex, flawed, and powerful female leads who drive the story’s emotional and moral core. Themes of forgiveness, self-destruction, and redemption resonate throughout, asking one essential question: Can we ever truly escape who we used to be?

I am uniquely suited to make this film because it reflects the world I come from and the truth I’ve lived. As a Black woman filmmaker from Gary, Indiana, I’ve built my career telling authentic, socially charged stories without institutional support—completing an entire television series entirely on my own. My lived experience gives me a rare understanding of resilience, struggle, and hope within underserved communities.

This film is both timely and necessary. It gives voice to the unheard and challenges the cinematic narrative around women of color, law enforcement, and survival. Running with Wolves isn’t just entertainment—it’s a reflection of America’s streets, its pain, and its fight for redemption..
