LOGLINE
The main character known as Bob (a sentient zombie) finds a human and they have adventures together, but underneath is a tale of corruption.
SYNOPSIS
In this world humans are long since gone, and all that's left are sentient human-like zombies. These zombies have built an entire society out of the ruins of the world, allowing them to essentially be the new ruling race. In this new world we are introduced to our main character named Bob. He is a regular zombie cashier at a local store, but he hates his job and is very cynical and tired.
During the pilot some cartoon antics happen and eventually he meets one of the only surviving humans named Wyatt. These 2 characters end up becoming our main characters along with the 2nd and last human named valentine, and Wyatt's zombified sister June. Throughout the series we will learn more about each character, bob will learn to be less cynical, Wyatt will learn how to protect his friends, and other side characters will get growth as well.
MORE ABOUT THE PROJECT
The main themes of this story are community, survival, and trust. I think I am suited to tell this story as I can also be cynical or hate people like bob does. I also have a deep understanding of the world and know that most survival stories all focus or realism and human character. While in this I wanted to focus on character growth with zombies and humans, while allowing the use of cartoon physics and styles. Lastly, I think the topic is important because many people are alone and only make friends online (myself included). And I think that this story could show them how useful true friends are in both mental health and as ways to form connections.

Williiam Wilson is the owner of Mischief studios and the creator of Checkout Afterlife. He started mischief studios after being inspired by other indie creators like glitch productions or the creators of lackadaisy. He wants to help smaller artists and voice actors kickstart their careers and put something successful on their resume.

My Name is John Carlos Cruz. I’m a Writer, show creator, and the co-owner of mischief studios. Back then I was watching people create shows and make their dreams come true through Disney and Cartoon Network as I was hoping I would become one someday. But then later I lost interest in those channels due to them having the worst outcome for shows. So I decided to help another fellow animation lover create his animated series and now I am very happy with my life as a co-owner, writer, and show creator.
