Nestled beneath the Griffith Observatory in Los Feliz, our studio offers indoor and outdoor workspaces, ensuring an inspiring backdrop for your creative journey. Been meaning to edit a new reel? Work on a script? Submit for more auditions? Let us hold each-other accountable during these set hours as we build out our community together at our studio.

Accountability Power Hours: Let's get things done! Whether you’ve been trying to re-edit your reel, finish a script, or submit to more auditions, join us for dedicated hours where we hold each other accountable.
Public Accountability Board: Upon arrival, jot down your goals on our public board. Share what you're working on and if you're seeking insights or resources. It's a visual reminder of our collective commitment to progress our careers together. Other members may be able to offer possible contacts, suggestions, or resources.
Interactive Goal Check-Ins: Share your progress at the beginning of each meetup and use these hours as time set aside to work on progressing your career.

CFA x Evidence Filmmaker/Actor Lab
On March 11th, Evidence Cameras and CFA partnered together to bring the first ever Actor’s Lab. Hosted at Evidence, directors brought their original material to a workshop with a group of actors, guided by experienced cinematographers who provided technical and creative guidance.
The event fostered unprecedented collaboration, exploration, and artistic development, bridging the gap between actors and the technical aspects of their performances, gaining insight that enhanced their understanding of the craft. It provided a nurturing and supportive environment where participants could learn, grow, and refine their skills.
The lab concluded with a vibrant speed networking session, connecting over 70 attendees and expanding their individual networks.
CFA x Cooke Optics Speed Connect
On February 9th, CFA hosted an exclusive event in collaboration with Cooke Optics.
This gathering began with an enlightening workshop on the differences between anamorphic and spherical lenses. Attendees were treated to an immersive educational experience that then transitioned into a speed networking session with close to 65 attendees.
From renowned industry professionals such as Ed Lachman ASC, Kees Van Oostrum ASC, and Alexander Gruszynski ASC to emerging filmmakers, attendees had the privilege of connecting and forming invaluable relationships at the event.
The gathering brought together a diverse range of talent, offering an extraordinary opportunity for networking and collaboration within the film community.
CFA x Zeiss Lens Workshop + Speed Connect
On December 15th, CFA orchestrated an evening of education and community-building in collaboration with Zeiss Cinematography.
Attendees were treated to an enlightening workshop where they delved into the world of lenses— expanding their knowledge of how the technical effects performance. Participants also engaged in a series of exhilarating speed connect sessions, fostering valuable connections and enabling attendees to forge genuine and lasting bonds.
CFA received a generous contribution from RED Digital Cinema, who graciously provided one of their cutting-edge V-Raptor bodies featuring the revolutionary C2C technology, made possible by the innovative minds at Frame.io. Attendees were delighted to receive thoughtfully curated gift bags from Zeiss, RED, and Keslow Camera.
CFA in London x CVP x Illuminatrix Panel
On March 20th, CFA brought their inter-departmental community to London! In collaboration with CVP and Illuminatrix, the evening began with a panel discussion focused on the importance of building an authentic network of support within the industry. Panelists included Actor & Coach Alexandra Wright, Monica McCarthy, Anna Gudbrands, Indeana Underhill, and Haeleigh Royall.
Following the panel discussion, CFA's signature speed networking session took place providing participants with a unique opportunity to connect with one another.
The evening concluded with a general mingling session which allowed participants to build upon the connections made earlier and continue fostering relationships.
