Alternative Financing Method for Filmmakers

Enables independent creatives aligned with the Institute’s mission to receive tax-deductible donations and grants while the Institute provides full administrative and financial oversight. 

Quarterly Film Challenge
Short Film Competition

A 72-hour filmmaking competition that brings together actors and filmmakers to conceive, shoot, edit, and submit a short film in just three days. The challenge includes access to gear loans, community support, and a networking wrap party, with prizes and industry mentor feedback provided through the judging process.

Indiewood Screenwriting Fund
Screenwriter Mentorship Program

A fund designed to break down financial and systemic barriers for under-represented and low-income screenwriters through direct financial aid, mentorship, workshops and community building to amplify new voices.  

League of Filmmakers
Digital Trade Publication

A digital trade publication and professional network whose mission is to elevate and unite creators across all filmmaking disciplines by providing education, visibility and opportunity, and to serve as a national coalition of filmmaking communities and user groups.

The Reel Champions
Women & Non-Binary Mentorship Program

A supportive and uplifting entertainment-industry community dedicated to helping women and non-binary filmmakers secure recognition and jobs, and mentoring future decision-makers to create positive change in hiring, depiction and representation of minority genders and people of color.
