MORE ABOUT THIS PROJECT

Captain Zero is positioned as a cultural movement intersecting prestigious storytelling, mental health advocacy, and global fan culture. Its impact is defined across several key areas:

Mental Health Communities and Organizations: The project directly addresses disparities in mental health conversations, particularly for teens where suicide is the second-leading cause of death. It advocates for self-introspection via therapy. Marketing for the project involves impact campaign events held at special screenings and conventions designed to destigmatize therapy while simultaneously growing the fan base.

Anime Space: The project utilizes anime-inspired visuals reminiscent of 90's Cel Animation. The project is strategically targeting growth among Animation/Anime fans via major conventions. Our primary audience for this film is people in the age range of 14-38, Black men and women and other people of color. This film is for people dealing with and supporting awareness of mental health, superhero fans, anime fans, people in the LGBTQIA+ community and fans of action and drama. While the conversation surrounding mental health has increased in the past few years, those who are the most affected by neglecting the importance of their mental health are falling by the wayside.
