ISF – Writing Good Dialogue (Virtual)

(By invitation to ISF Cohort members only)

In this week’s ISF session, Yaroslav Altunin will guide writers through the craft of subtext, unspoken tension, and writing authentic dialogue.

Using produced screenplays alongside pages brought in by cohort members, the group will analyze how emotional undercurrents are built beneath the surface of a scene—and how great dialogue often says less, not more. The session will conclude with a live workshop, where writers can share pages written during the week. Scenes will be read aloud and discussed in a supportive setting designed to sharpen voice, character, and emotional clarity.
