While Yaroslav Altunin is away, a guest writer—joined by an industry rep—will lead this week’s ISF session on navigating the business side of screenwriting.

The discussion will cover what writers need to know about representation in 2025, including how to approach agents and managers and what those relationships really look like. The session will also dive into fellowships and competitions—how to evaluate which ones to apply for, and how they fit into a broader career strategy. Writers will leave with practical insights on building a sustainable writing career beyond the page.
